Día de los Muertos

Members of the Notre Dame Staff of International Descent (NDSID) and Adelante ND employee resource groups and OIT celebrated Día de los Muertos on November 1 with a celebration at the Information Technology Center.

Basketball is back

In November, football wraps up its regular season while men’s and women’s basketball gets started.

November 4: Guard Olivia Miles returned to action after sitting out the 2023–24 season while recovering from an injury.

November 11: Forward Tae Davis goes up for a dunk against Buffalo.

Honoring our veterans

November 9: The US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Para-Commandos drop in to Notre Dame Stadium before the football game against Florida State.

November 11: Notre Dame ROTC cadets and midshipmen concluded their annual Veterans Day vigil with the Tri-Military Veterans Day Ceremony at Clarke Memorial Fountain.

November 11: Every Veterans Day, Notre Dame ROTC cadets and midshipmen stand vigil in 30-minute shifts across 24 hours at Clarke Memorial Fountain.

2024 Shamrock Series, New York City

Notre Dame returned to New York for the third time since the Shamrock Series began in 2009. Every Shamrock Series is much more than a football game, and the 2024 edition was a weekend of events that included service and spiritual opportunities, performances by the Notre Dame Marching Band, and even a Broadway musical.

A season's send-off

November 22: Members of the Notre Dame Marching Band perform the traditional Drummer’s Circle on a rainy day in New York City’s Central Park.

November 22: The Alumni Association’s Shamrock Series service project invited the Notre Dame family to assemble food boxes and care kits to benefit Catholic Charities and Part of the Solution (POTS) Bronx.

November 22: Notre Dame President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., welcomes the audience to a special performance of the musical “Hamilton.”

November 23: Notre Dame President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., thanks Cardinal Timothy Dolan, archbishop of New York, for welcoming Notre Dame to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for a pre-game Mass.

November 23: Fans wait to enter Yankee Stadium for the Shamrock Series football game against Army.

November 23: Running back Jeremiyah Love leaps over an Army defender to score in the 49–14 Shamrock Series win.

November 23: Quarterback Riley Leonard and teammates stand with Army players for the singing of the United States Military Academy Alma Mater following the game, a traditional show of respect the Irish extend to service academy opponents.
