Reason #12: Día de los Muertos celebrations.*

November 1: Notre Dame Campus Ministry, in partnership with the Institute for Latino Studies, hosted a procession from Cedar Grove Cemetery to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in observance of Día de los Muertos. (Photo by Matt Cashore)

*Although Día de los Muertos is formally observed November 1 and 2, campus activities and observances began in the last week of October—so even if the calendar doesn’t technically agree, we consider it in the “spirit” of October.
