A Busy Month at Purcell Pavilion
College basketball in February lives in the shadow of March Madness, but is no less action-packed. The men's and women's basketball teams hosted ACC opponents, with a dramatic win over a longtime rival for women's basketball coach Niele Ivey, and Mike Brey prepared to end his 23-year tenure as the winningest coach in men's basketball history.

Rare Disease Day 2023: A Global Chain of Lights
The College of Science observed Rare Disease Day on February 28 with a prayer service and a lighting of the Hesburgh Library mural and Jordan Hall of Science in symbolic colors.
Rare Disease Day is an observance held on the last day of February to raise awareness for rare diseases and improve access to treatment and medical representation for individuals with rare diseases and their families. (Photos by Matt Cashore)
